Project Runway is always an inspiration to me. I saw a necklace on Juliana Coles on the Allstars show and this is my interpretation of it. The one she had on was huge and came very low and I plan to do that version in the future. This one was a starter to see how different shapes would go together. It would have been easier with a really good jig like my friend Brenda Schweder's Now That's a Jig and I think I'll get one before my bigger project. I'm not a very patient wire worker. This smaller necklace is made from 14 gauge nickel silver wire, my bigger version will be 10 gauge.. I made my own jump rings so they would match perfectly.
While this was in the tumbler I made this amazing 10 minute piece out of a scrap of 10 gauge bronze. It is surprisingly good looking on over a simple round neck T shirt. I'd love to see it on a tall gorgeous woman with a low neckline too!
These are modeled by my lovely Coco who stands in my dining room in case she is needed.
