At Objects and Elements we carry a variety of sizes and shapes of bezels in Bronze and Sterling Silver. Think of them as little tiny frames. This is a staple setting that holds in a piece of vintage measuring tape.
Cut into the sides of the Bezelbezel with a jeweler's saw using your thumb to guide the blade.
you can use an offset pattern for this simple piece.
Mark the size of the bezel on the measuring tape and cut out the wood with a jewelers saw inside the lines. File if needed to fit inside the bezel.
Using a chain nose plier, pinch and rock forward to lay the staple down on the wood. Do both sides and then file any sharp edges. Needle Files are the best to reach these tiny areas.
If you fill multiple bezels you can create a fun bracelet with memories and momentos by connecting them with large jump rings.
