Last week I had requests to show more detail on the hydraulic press made of Faux Bone so here are some more photos. This is a bezel I made from 24 gauge Bronze sheet.
The first thing you need to do is fully anneal your sheet metal so it's nice a soft. Heat 24 gauge sheet until fully glowing.
Cut your shape out of the Faux Bone and then file smooth. The best files to use are coarser like a wax file as they don't gum up. To cut a circle out of the middle you will need to drill a small hole and then insert the blade of the jeweler's saw into it to cut it out. As mentioned before the Faux Bone is cut with a special twist blade.
